Keep Polk Beautiful board members and volunteers go to all third grade classrooms in the county presenting The Wartville Wizard by Don Madden, a delightful book about a town with a litter problem and how they come to recognize and solve it.

Students then discuss ways to prevent litter and are given a chance to complete a personal booklet they take home with them.

Buster the Brown Trasher is our new state anti-litter mascot!  He is a big tough guy who tells all to "Bust that trash!" at our pep rallies! Here he is seen with Mayor Lewis at Euharlee Elementary and speaking to students at Cherokee Elementary in the spring.

Keep Polk Beautiful sponsored the high school environmental club called "Kappa Pi Beta."  Students learn about environmental protection and perform many community service projects throughout the year, such as litter cleanups, beautification, tree plantings, and storm drain stenciling, as seen above by Rockmart High School.
