Recent Events
On July 18-19 we participated in Rockmart's 31st annual Homespun Festival. We gave out free litterbags, balloons, brochures and information about Keep Polk Beautiful, litter prevention, and drought protection. We also had fun raffling off items that Coca Cola and Wal-Mart had donated to us to use as a fundraiser. Watch for pictures to come!
In May the Rockmart High School Kappa Pi Beta club stenciled storm drains to discourage dumping waste into neighborhood storm drains. We had fun putting rubber gloves over toes to protect polish, and retrieving runaway paint cans, but still left an important message behind for all to see!
